This collection of certificates gives insight to the Michael and Kitty Brophy family and the George and Mary Clark family in the Los Angeles area from the 1850s to the 1940s, grandparents and parents of Merle Agnes Clark McCaleb. Typewritten note attached: "Merle Agnes Clark McCaleb/On behalf of her Grandmother Kitty Brophy." George Howard Clark (1881-1956). Radio engineer and vice president of RCA. Born at Alberton, Prince Edward Island, Canada, emigrated to the United States at the age of fourteen. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.S.E.E. in 1903.
